Candidate Requirements:
Experience developing web applications using OO analysis, design, and programming with ColdFusion (7/ MX7/ 8).
Experience and an understanding of coding methods and best practices.
Experience developing test cases and test plans.
Experience collaborating with developers, programmers, and designers in conceptualising and development of new software programs and applications.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Experience developing SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers using Microsoft SQL Server 2005. This includes experience with select, insert, update, and delete queries.
Experience working in a networked, multi-tiered architecture with Novell Netware, Apache Tomcat, Windows XP Pro, and Windows Server 2003.
Experience developing XML data extraction and transfer programs.
Experience developing custom forms with Adobe PDFs and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Preferences:
Developing web applications using OO analysis, design, and programming with Adobe Flex, Eclipse, and XML.
Developing grant management system software.
Using Xerox Docushare, Adobe LiveCycle, Citrix, VMWare, and/ or Sage MIP.

MID / SENIOR COLDFUSION DEVELOPER – PERM – London - £45 – 60k
Responsibilities & Tasks
To help maintain codebase for including bug fixing and optimisation.
To develop new Coldfusion components as required.
To adequately document all code.
To design and document solutions
To assist the Head of Web Development in designing and documenting solutions and developing Coldfusion components.
To assist Project Managers in planning tasks and estimating work time scales
To ensure effective communication with staff at all levels.
To ensure components are adequately tested before they enter beta phase.
Technical skills
ColdFusion (MachII, ColdSpring),
Advanced knowledge of Coldfusion essential (esp. CFCs), at least to version 7. 8 would be nice.
Knowledge of frameworks highly desirable.
Experience of developing custom content management solutions is highly desirable.
Knowledge of web services advantageous.
SQL Server 2005, experience in SQL language - Solid knowledge of SQL essential (from any platform).
Knowledge of some advanced Microsoft T-SQL and SQL Server DBA functions are advantageous.
Javascript (JQuery), Solid understanding and experience of Javascript + framework including (e.g. Ajax, JSON, object-orientated coding).
HTML/CSS
Design and working knowledge of CSS is essential.
However, good design skills are not essential.
A keen interest in web technologies is advantageous.
